At Middletown City Schools, the buzz around an expansion to Rosa Parks Elementary was growing. The district saw that an expansion could ease the burden of overcrowded classrooms for teachers and students alike. Fanning & Howey Architects received the award for design, while Conger Construction oversaw the construction phase. Later in the process, Farnham Equipment Company (FEC) received a contract to deliver and install casework for this project.
High-end educational casework by Stevens Industries can be seen throughout the new construction at Rosa Parks. This casework displays a wide array of finishes and custom designs. Featured accents include Ashbee Oak and Factory Antique Wood finishes, along with “tutti-fruti”, matrix blue, vibrant green, and violet accent colors. The end product is a highly colorful and innovative look from Fanning & Howey.
Throughout the building, FEC provided custom-designed millwork, including “genius bar” elevations and display units. The custom millwork provides creative seating and the “genius bar” gives a sleek look to the project.
This project showcased the diversity of Stevens’ Casework. With a plethora of options, Fanning & Howey took full advantage of the Stevens Advantage line to bring a colorful design to Rosa Parks Elementary.
