Muskingum University began the construction process for a new health and wellness complex on its campus in 2020. A large portion of this project included new I-Beam grandstands incorporated into the new complex design overlooking the football stadium. Farnham Equipment Company (FEC) worked with Sturdisteel to have these new grandstands installed prior to the new football season in 2022.
The new home-side stadium seating is a singular 11-row elevated I-Beam grandstand. It seats approx. 1,775 spectators on cantilevered aluminum seats. In order to maintain proper code compliance, the grandstands include eight wheelchair spaces with companion seats and proper fencing to ensure spectator safety.
This project is a great example of FEC’s strong reputation in the spectator seating market. Working with Sturdisteel for this large outdoor I-Beam project proved to be a great advantage.
