Elyria City Schools were looking to add new athletic fields to their ever-growing athletics program, and after funding and approvals, moved forward with a new softball and baseball complex nearby the school. RFC Contracting handled this project and awarded contracts for Farnham Equipment Company (FEC) to deliver stadium seating for the baseball and softball fields.
The softball and stadium seating came from Sturdisteel, netting 138 seats per outdoor bleacher. Each outdoor grandstand system is 10 rows by 27 feet, elevating up to 38 ½ feet with clear anodized footboards. The elevated bleacher system also included spots for ADA seating, per code compliance. The design of the bleacher understructure is angle-frame, quite common in the high school athletics market. Elyria City Schools is thrilled with the finished product for their athletics programs.
This is one of several projects where FEC’s expertise in outdoor bleachers came to fruition. Through production and layout assistance, to delivering and installation on a tight window for the district, FEC’s installation team was up to the challenge to construct these outdoor bleachers for the new athletic complex.
