Having different indoor sports at different locations proved an obstacle for Edison Local Schools. To bring their teams and their community together, the district was intent on creating a multi-purpose facility that could hold multiple sports in one location. With SHP as the design architect and Hively Construction Co. leading the construction, the district broke ground and then completed its new field house in May 2022. Farnham Equipment Company (FEC) provided multiple scopes of work for this building.
FEC delivered and installed two banks of MAXAM telescopic bleachers from Hussey Seating Company. These new bleachers hold 1,500 spectators and feature a large signature “E” logo. The auto-rotating aisle rails provided allow for easier set-up and take-down for the maintenance staff that operates the bleachers.
FEC also provided and installed the athletic equipment for this fieldhouse. The new Performance Sports Systems basketball backstops, divider curtain and wall pads are state-of-the-art. Adding to school spirit, the new scoreboards feature a customized logo that FEC helped design.
This project turned out fantastic and served as a great community boost for Edison Local Schools. Farnham Equipment Company was thrilled with the opportunity to participate in this project and provided important pieces to the new field house that showcase Wildcat pride within the district.
