Project Overview
Calvary Christian Schools were in a precarious position. Their attendance was continuing to grow, but their facilities had limited space. Eventually, the school decided it was in its best interest short and long-term to start building new buildings to accommodate the increase in size of classes. The school moved forward with a new 50,000 square-foot addition, constructed in a pre-engineered metal building. Early on in conversation, the school reached out to Farnham Equipment Company (FEC) for budgetary and design assistance for the gymnasium space in the new addition. After several iterations of options, FEC received awards to provide both the athletic equipment and telescopic bleachers for the new building addition.
This project is a great addition to projects that include a PEMB while showcasing the gymnasium scope FEC is able to provide for its customers. The school was thrilled with FEC’s professionalism and work on the bleachers and athletic equipment, and noted that they would remember FEC as they continue to construct new buildings for their school’s future.
Key Project Features
1. Telescoping Bleachers: Hussey Seating Company
The project features new telescopic bleachers from Hussey Seating Company, delivered and installed by FEC’s installation crews. The new seating includes:
- (1) bank of seating, with over 550 seats for spectators
- Auto-rotating aisle rails
- Custom end cutouts
- Plastic courtside seats, with custom Pantone colors 347,349
- ADA flex rows for wheelchair patrons
2. Athletic Equipment: Gared Performance Sports Systems
FEC also installed new gymnasium equipment at Calvary Christian’s new building addition, including basketball backstops, wall padding and a top-roll divider curtain.
3. Scoreboards: Nevco Scoreboards
FEC often works alongside Nevco for interior scoreboards in gymnasiums. The Nevco team provides a high-end product and a seamless experience for the installation team to install these into the gymnasium space.
