Port Clinton High School desired upgrades to its gymnasium, but didn’t have a vision of the end-result. Looking for creative ideas, the school enlisted Farnham Equipment Company to provide custom options for their new gymnasium as they looked to replace their existing gymnasium seating.
FEC delivered and installed two new banks of telescopic seating through Hussey Seating Company, netting over 1,200 seats for spectators. Complementing the school’s colors, the 10” courtside seats on the bleachers are bright red and include seat numbers and row letters. Each bank has ADA compliance through flex-row seating. This allows for wheelchair patrons to get up front at the best parts of the court, while also serving as recoverable seats in the event there are no wheelchair patrons. The school requested other features, including a semi-permanent media platform to film games, and safety end curtains to prevent students from getting in the understructure of the bleachers.
Logos were a primary feature of these new bleachers, seen on multiple locations. Primarily, Xtreme Logos with the letters “PC” are fused to seats at the center of each bleacher bank to give a professional look to the bleachers. On the end caps of the seats, courtside graphic logos also show “PC” to reinforce the school spirit. On the safety end curtains, the phrase “We are PC!” with the school’s Indian Mascot is visible on both end curtains. Finally, the media platform has a custom design with the phrase “Port Clinton High School”. The school spared no expense to ensure that its school spirit was clear at every point of their new gymnasium upgrades, with the end product turning out fantastic.
This project was a favorite for FEC because it featured us working directly with our customer to find the right solution to their vision. Through many conversations and design options, the school opted for a heavy logo-package for their new seating and were thrilled with the end result.
