The new Miami Trace High School has been described as a showcase for modern learning. The new building joined the SHP-designed Middle School and Elementary School on a central campus with a grand opening in August 2018. Farnham Equipment Company featured products were provided and installed throughout the building. As you walk into the new High School’s event entrance, you’ll see Stevens Industries Plastic Laminate Panels showcasing both the theatre and gymnasium entrances, each leading the way to Hussey Seating Company’s featured products.
Three banks of Hussey Seating Company Maxam26 Telescopic Bleachers, featuring 301-black CourtSide Seats with custom CourtSide Graphics are in the gymnasium with a 1,824 net seat count. Auto-Rotating Aisle Rails are installed for ease of set up, rotating to the proper open and closed positions during set up, eliminating the need to manually rotate and tighten each aisle rail.
The entrance to the theatre houses the school’s spirit shop and ticket booth, complete with Stevens Industries Plastic Laminate Casework. Hussey Quattro Traditional Series Seating fills the auditorium with 802 seats, including wheelchair and ADA locations. Featuring a soft square back with a polymer outer panel and inner waterfall panel, the seats are standard foam with Mineral Culp Winslow Fabric and wood armrests.
Stevens Industries Casework is installed throughout the performing arts area in dressing rooms, vocal rooms, and orchestra rooms complete with instrument and uniform storage. In addition, Stevens Plastic Laminate Casework and mobile storage is installed throughout the building in typical classrooms and administrative areas, including reception desks. Custom wall panels with inset white boards are found in various mixed-use learning areas. The student dining area features two custom benches with traditional booth-style seating on one side and a high-top table on the other, complete with electrical outlets for charging devices.
ICI Scientific’s CampbellRhea Wood Lab Casework is installed the biology, physics, chemistry, science prep and project classroom, complete with epoxy resin tops and Water Saver standard chrome plated service fixtures with vacuum breakers. A Fume Hood and safety equipment storage were also provided and installed.
