The Ohio State University began renovations on Founders Hall at their Newark Campus in the summer of 2024. Part of the renovations included new lecture hall seating in the classrooms. Robertson Construction managed this project and reached out to Farnham Equipment Company (FEC) to provide pricing for the auditorium seating to this project. After being awarded the project, FEC delivered and installed these chairs in Spring 2024.

The new Founders Hall includes 128 new Quattro seats from Hussey Seating Company (HSC). These Quattro style seats include a Grass Wood natural veneer finish and have a “waterfall” style inner panel to give extra comfort for those sitting. Opting for a traditional graphic color, these seats also include tablet arms to add to the professional look of the lecture hall. The wood veneer enhances the look of the seats, while the added comfort and flexibility from the tablet arms appealed greatly to the University.

This project delivered smoothly during the busy summer season, and allowed FEC to showcase a higher-end auditorium seating for the college and university sector. The school was pleased with the outcome, and the existing relationship between FEC and Robertson Construction allowed for a great experience during the construction and delivery phase.
