As outdoor bleacher safety continues to be an evening news topic across the state, we cannot urge you enough to become educated about code compliance and the standards put into place to keep your community safe. Make sure you are getting your seating system inspected on an annual basis by a qualified person to prevent accidents and reduce liability. A quality inspection will not only tell you what codes you are in violation of, but will also tell you what repairs and/or upgrades need to be made to your seating unit for ultimate safety precautions. The next step to make those repairs/upgrades is up to you.
Just because there hasn’t been an accident yet to report, doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t be proactive to prevent one in the future. Read more about Bleacher Safety, Code Compliance, and repair options here.
Our Service Manager, Rocky Baker, spoke with WDTN 2 News on the most recent bleacher accident involving a 5-year that fell through the guard railing from the top row resulting in a head wound and a fractured wrist. We wish the young man a speedy recovery.
